Instead of my usual blowjob from a black woman(prostitute), I thought I would do something different for Black History Month. This blog will feature Jet magazine’s ‘Beauty of the Week’. I will also throw in whatever I find interesting, hoping you do as well, like vintage ads, photos, articles, etc. They published weekly so there will be multiple posts progressing year by year because that’s 52 girls in a single year. If they did any other sort of modeling or acting I will post photos of that as well – if I can find them. Jet magazine was originally published in Chicago so you will find many stories originating from the Windy City – my home town(CUBS!). As always, there will be a poll at the bottom where you choose your favorites. The votes are tallied in real time, and you can view the results by simply clicking. Feel free to comment and critique the girls. Hitting the LIKE button would make me happy. As I started to secure my reference materials for this post I found how difficult it is to get a definitive list. They just don’t exist. Even Jet’s own website under ‘Archive’ only goes about 3 months back. So I’m going to have to gather the girls piece by piece. I may not always have the exact date or I may have to skip some weeks. But the good news is I will have photos of the girls! Jet girls. Jet Beauties. I really like their style. Instead of Fiction and interviews like Playboy, they have all kinds of snippets of stuff. Stuff like crime, entertainment, people, society. All kinds of things that are quite funny, whether intentional or not. Judge for yourself at some of stuff below.
More interesting and titillating Jet covers from 1952:
Authors Note: They say the Jet Beauty of the Week started in 1952, so I’ll include whomever I can find from that year. Also, I will split the voting into 2 parts. So that’s 26 girls to choose from in each poll(although you can always vote for more than one).
Authors Note: I cannot help but notice that virtually every cover has a headline article about some aspect of sexuality. Their covers are very much like Playboy in words. They just lack the sheer amount of photos and nudity. If they are so preoccupied with that subject, I’m surprised they don’t feature more photos of women(or men).
In 2014 Jet stopped publishing a printed edition but continued online.
